ACCRA DETOX CAMP

Ananda Marga (The Path of Bliss) international yoga movement will conduct its premier Yoga Detox Weekend in Accra, Ghana from September 9th – 11th, 2011. The venue is a hotel at Atomic Barrier near the Ananda Marga centre in Haatso.

The Camp will be led by two senior monks of Ananda Marga. Both have lived a holistic lifestyle for the past 35 years – have taught classes and conducted workshops on plant-based diet, detoxification for health, yoga for perfect health and an assortment of holistic health practices all over the world.

The monks, whose nickname, "Dada" means "respected brother" graduated from a one month intensive training in Nature Care from the Ananda Marga Wellness Centre (AMWC) in Cebu, Philippines. AMWC has successfully treated people from many different countries since 2005.

Both Dadas have conducted separate camps in the USA and South Africa earlier this year. Each weekend camp is designed to raise awareness about the powerful effects of food, fasting, and positive thinking and how these enable the body to heal itself. The response from these camps was overwhelmingly positive. Dadas therefore decided to hold a similar one in Ghana where the awareness of the importance of a balanced lifestyle becomes increasingly more widespread and popular.

Dada Pramananda runs the Ananda Marga Holistic Health & Lifestyle Centre in Haatso, Accra. The Centre offers various healing therapies as well as regular classes and personal consultations in yoga exercise and meditation.
